Lake Mulwala is being drawn down again this year to assist in the control of the invasive weed Egeria and to do some structural works. The Lake level will start to fall slowly from late April by about 70cm until mid-May, after which the drawdown will accelerate until it is 3.5m lower than normal. This level is expected to be maintained until mid-July when refilling will begin ready for the irrigation season. This will give the DC on the Lake team here an opportunity to do some repairs & maintenance along the foreshore area.
